Blitzen Goes to the Vet (Part 1)
On Saturday, I bunny-proofed the apartment and let Blitzen out to run around. While he was busy exploring I noticed he had a large lump on both of his sides under his arms - The one on his left side was the biggest of the two. I checked him out and tried to call the vet, but they were already closed for the day.
So, on Monday I made an appointment for this morning and took Blitzen went to the vet. The lumps I thought were tumors checked out. On Thursday, he's having a double surgery to have both removed as the doctor strongly recommended doing so before the end of the week. The sample he took showed that the lumps weren't only tumorous, but it looked like they might be cancerous also. The doctor was a little confused because the tumors were in an odd spot, on his ribs, rather than under his arms in the armpit region. While he was looking at the sample he had someone look through all their books for rabbits with tumors on the ribs and couldn't find anything.
Let's hope that my little Bunny-Butt turns out okay after the surgeries! He's a good little bunny~ <3
