(no subject)
Things have been happening. Here's a summary of certain items, as I haven't updated in a while.
-Sixolas is sick. This is sad but we're dealing with it and new kittens may be in the works.
-Getting close to finishing a first draft of the graphic novel. This is the biggest project I've ever worked on, and I'm feeling really pumped. Should come in at around 180-200 page mark. Hopefully I'll be finished before leaving for south america, and can circulate it around for suggestions and maybe to potential illustrators? The second draft process seems really daunting right now. Shooting for early 2007 to have it complete, but it really depends on if I can find an artist to work with.
-I've started in on Zola again, I'm now reading "The Ladies' Paradise" What a delight!
-Some film suggestions: Murnau, "Sunrise"; Hitchcock, "The Lady Vanishes"; Godard, "A Woman is a Woman"; Fuller, "Shock Corridor"; Parjanov, "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors", "Color of Pomegranates".
-Joined the Y. Exercising while listening to Undying, surrounded by a bunch of sweaty herberts.
-Crazy parades through downtown; hanging out with fantastic people; rocking the awesome UGA library; Athens is really fantastic right now and it will be fun when my dad comes into town next month. He went to grad school here, and it should be interesting to walk around and listen to his borderline mid-life crisis ramblings.
