The last light has faded. The bonfire is lit and the fireflies are glowing merrily. The scent of wood-smoke is in the air. Three of the identical serving men have taken up instruments from the bower and have begun to play, varying between soft ballads and dancing tunes. By the fire, a large silver pail holds small, glittering crystals

Finally she makes it to a table and plops gratefully on a bench. She would love to talk to the musicians and see if she could perhaps join them in playing- but for the moment she is just grateful to have a seat.
She is clothed in a extremely low backed blue dress. ]

She's not the only one who has a bit of trouble with the way they walk apparently, as the doctor can be seen stumbling a bit with each step. Not for the same reason, of course, Malkus is just a rather clumsy drinker. Small gusts of wind blow around the fellow with each wobbly step, as if they're what's pushing him from side to side.
"H-Hah-Hi there! Greetings miss-...miss-..."
The strange man does an odd sort of small bow, almost falling forward as he does so.
Reply
"It's Isabell-oh! " She gets up and reaches to prevent Malkus from falling forward.
Instead she finds herself doing the same thing!

Malkus is cut off, feeling a slight bump against the top of his head while he's still trying to regain his balance mid-bow. Isabella dear, did you just butt heads with Malkus? It's a small bop, but enough to trip Malkus up and send him back on his behind. All you get in response is a muffled laugh from behind the mask.
Reply
"Oww." The bard grimaces and attempts to disentangle herself, which was rather difficult seeing how her center of balance now was farther back than where she's had it for all of her life. "I'm so sorry. Let me just... try and... get up."
Reply
The doctor isn't much help, reaching to try and get Isabella on her feet wouldn't really work out if Malkus isn't on his feet either. If he were a bit more sober, he'd be blushing up a storm right now. Oh Malkus you've made yourself look like an ass and you've hardly said two words to the lady!
"N-No need to be sorry, Miss. I apologize for not being able to-...catch you before you fell o-or somethin'..."

Isabella's misplaced balance and Malkus's drunken wiggling about was getting them no where. Isabella rolls to the side and sits down, and laughs. It's a pleasant sound, and full of good humor.
"Do not worry. It is not solely your fault. I can not find my feet either."

The bird-man couldn't help but smile at the sound of her laughter. Thank god she wasn't displeased at him for being a fool. Drunk legs wont stop Malkus from still trying to get back on his feet though! This time, with the help of the bench, Malkus is successful! He turns and reaches a hand down to Isabella.
"Now, let me properly help!"

She will try and put as little weight on that hand of his while he helps her up. She does not want to accidently pull him back down ontop of her.

"No need to thank me. The pleasure's all mine, miss!"
The doctor stumbles forward a bit, quickly regaining his balance as he grips Isabellas hand and pulls her up a bit faster than he had meant to.
"Wh-Whoop- S-Sorry there!"
Reply
She puts her hands out to stop the forward momentum from his fast yank, in an attempt to stop herself from falling.
She really did fail at it, being balanced forward as she was and she ends up stumbling against Malkus because of it.
"Sorry!"
Reply
"H-Hello again."
His depth perception sucks right now and he doesn't realize how close his mask is to her face. Because of this, Isabella should be able to easily see two faint eyes looking at her from beneath the lenses. Yes it seems he DOES have a face under there!

Then spots the very faint outlines of two eyes within the globes of the white beaked face.
So it was just a mask! She wondered briefly if the man's religion prevented him from exposing his face? But it was a very brief wondering.
"Ah! There!" Finally she found her footing and rights herself. Still, she sways a bit. "Your turn!"
Reply
"My turn, then? H-Hah-Right"
Malkus takes a step back, trying to get his balance when he hits the back of his knee against the bench! He's a split-second away from toppling over backwards but manages to quickly plop himself down into his seat instead.
"P-Perhaps that's enough wine for me, tonight."
Reply
She takes her turn at the seat and plops next to him.
"I hope that you do not feel the pains of this evening, on the morrow!" This is part of the reason why the bard never drinks. Too afraid of what happens in the morning afterwards.
Reply
The truth is, Malkus will be sobbing tomorrow morning, clutching his head. He didn't drink much either, and for good reason. But this is a party and Malkus has never been a very wise doctor! Nothing he'd admit to a lady like Isabella, though.
