well everyone, i survived christmas. i'm somewhat surprised actually. i guess i should journal for once and update everyone as to what's been going on in out little neck of minnesota.
- we went bed shopping last week because our bed (well, brian's bed) is about shot. we found one that we liked and basically are just waiting for my next slumberland bill to come so i can pay that off and we can get the bed. brian isn't sure though if he wants another payment to deal with but i think it will end up coming down to us needing a new bed payment or not. zero percent financing is where it's at.
- we had a nice christmas back at home for about a day and a half. brian got a home theater from my parents and i spent tuesday hooking it up. it's nice and was actually pretty simple to put together but i haven't yet figured out how to hook it up to the sound coming from the tv. probably pretty easy but haven't had time.
- we're also kicking around the idea of moving to coon rapids (the next suburb over, closer to the cities) this spring because we found this really nice place that's comparable size for cheaper. they are "townhouse style" apartments and they have central air and attatched garages, which is awesome. the only drawback would be that we would have to pay for heat but considering we haven't turned our heat on this winter yet that might not be so bad.
- since i've started out all of these points with "we", i guess i should address something that everyone has been asking me about . . . whether or not brian and i are going to get engaged. the girls at work esp. have been joking with me about how we're already basically married. we've looked at rings and it's pretty much between two now. they're both in the 4000 range which i think brian is comfortable with. we just really need to get some debt paid off before then. everything is still going well with us and living together really hasn't been that much of an adjustment. all pluses.
- the maintenance guy came and foam insulated our pipes so our apt. doesn't smell like smoke so bad!
- i'm considering getting a second job at texas roadhouse so i can buy a car but because my hours at hell fluctuate so much i'm not sure if i can swing it or not.
let's see, what else. i'm afraid not much else exciting has happened. i'll update when i think of things.
