what to do with computers...
I'd like to preface this internal debate with an acknowledgment; i have too many material possessions and I'm a bit self conscious about having 2 laptops.
So I have two computers. One is Pipen. I got him in 2002/3ish snr year of high school. I named him about a year or so after getting him, when one day in Dummer's class he said "King Pippen". Being a fan of LOTR, I was really excited that there was somewhere in time a king of someone country that is included in western civ.
the second computer is from George Fox. I'm on my second model of computer that they've given me (the first one having been craptastical and only margenlly better then the current one I have now).
Now my plan this summer was to wait until Vista was fixed from its crapy stage and wait until there were laptops that can actually handle everything that Vista needs to do. then I was gonna sell Pip and the GFU comp and get a comp that can handle the MMO life and join up!
well...then Pip had a run in with a toddler and a coffee cup...and hes never been the same since. The buottons don't all work (which makes me crazy!). So Pip is no longer of good sale value. Then I realized that I don't have ANY disks to go with my GFU comp. It's in sellable condition but it was new five years ago.
So I have a question for you, what do you sugest I should do? I want a new laptop. I would like to have an updated one (with vista), for gaming, art stuff and internets. I would also like to not be wasetful of the two computers I have. What's the best corse of action? even if I don't end up doing anyting about this until May or April (which is far more likely then sooner...unless it get really crazy).
