I haven't really written anything substantial in this journal and I was inspired by Audrin's Corner and since I also have strong opinions regarding politics and since elections is just around the corner I wanted to give my two cents

There are few in your list that have a history of corruption and mismanagement in the government. Those whom you think are 'clean'. I'm not going to risk any libel on me by saying their names but I'll tell them to you tomorrow, if you want. =)
no one in politics is clean. i have the inside scoop on politicians since my father knows many of these people because he has worked with them. you will be surprised. normal families usually talk about how their day was over dinner, we talk about politics during (thats if we do have dinner together haha). whats kapatiran?
I won't vote for Paredes because he was the executive director of the VFA commission. Aside from that his experience in public administration is limited to being an assemblyman from 1984-1986 um thats two decades ago. Haha
I won't vote for Sison because he doesn't have prior experience in government service at all, same goes for Bautista.
I admire their platform though, I think they should have run for partylist instead. If they ran for senate, they will be too overwhelmed, they won't know the protocols, they wont be efficient. They will be wasting the taxpayer's money. Well thats what I think.
I'm voting but I don't think I'll fill up the twelve names. To tell you the truth, I'm irresponsible when it comes to these things. My mom nagged me to register, so I did (I registered on the very last day). If they don't nag me to vote on Monday, I probably won't. I've got no right to complain about how things go in the government since I really, honestly, do not care enough anymore.
I'm one of those who have grown to be indifferent because even though a lot of people would like to say that "your vote counts", and "it's a right and an obligation", I'm not buying it. I'm too young to be cynical regarding politics but I'm getting older each year with no real changes in the Philippine government. :)
Paredes resigned from the VFA commission over the Nicole case.
You're privileging other candidates for having experience in an obviously incompetent and ineffective government? It is not as if skills acquired in their respective fields are not applicable in governance.
Requiring that they know about protocols prior sort of excludes all first-time Senators. This doesn't make sense. Everyone has to start out somewhere. The more important attributes are probably critical thinking and integrity. Their staff can fill them in on protocol.
I think the mere fact that he accepted the appointment as deputy director and executive director and stayed in the commission for almost 4 years implies that he believed in the VFA and everything it stood for. I think his resignation is a political move because he already had intentions to run

You're not voting for anyone in the Kapatiran?
