Friday... Week End... Thank God
Well it has been an interesting week. It has been a busy week.
K had some major issues with her roommate since the first week or 2 of college. I was hoping to convince her to get a long with her roommate. Well the other night the crap really hit the fan when her roommate locked her out of their room. K had stayed up and waited for Ashley to get back to the room after a night of partying or whatever she does. Anyway, K ran literally across the hall to go to the bathroom and while she was gone, Ashley locked her out of the room. The excuse later was she had fallen asleep and didn't hear K knocking to get in the room. Neither of us believe that, not for a minute. Anyway, she hung out with a couple of boys while she worked at knocking at the door and calling her RA who is in charge of the floor to get her room unlocked. Two hours later she finally woke the RA up and got her room unlocked. Asheley was "asleep". Anyway, we talked to the RA the next evening, I called on the phone and she was taking to K as she became more and more upset. She was ready to quit school, leave college, etc. She was almost inconsolable. We finally came to the agreement that she would stay in the room that evening and Ashely would room with the RA that night. It was determined that they would work on getting K a new room the next day. Well they did. It is a private in a different dorm. It will cost an extra $200 for this semester and $1,000 for the next semester. Now I can come up with the $ for this semester but I am not sure how I'm going to find the $ for next. Since they found her a room she had to get out of the old one. Ashely has 48 hours to move someone in with her or she will have to be moved to another room (or pay an extra $300 to keep that one private). Anyway, I went up and it took 3 hours to get her moved from her room to her new one. She was working on getting it organized etc. She seems happy with the situation. She and a friend are going to head over to South Portland to check out Wal-Mart and possibly have Chineese for supper.
I know this seems distorted, it is, interuptions have made it difficult to keep my thoughts straight for now. I will add more later if I think of it and get a chance.
