CRAZY STORY...
ok here goes...so i thought tonight was going to be extremely upsetting because we realized my brothers hamster, big balls, was missing. I guess there was an opening at the top of his cage but because he was relatively old my brother thought he would never be able to climb up to it and therefore didn't put a cover over it. Well Big Balls proved him wrong and that slippery rodent got away. We didn't notice until after 11 o'clock and we didn;t know how long he was missing but we all assumed worst case scenerio...Butch...our elderly, emaciated cat had gotten to him first. We still decided to look for him though and my mom and brother checked his room while I searched his other room, which is directly next door. The room had been pitch black so after turning on the light and looking around I didn't him anywhere. Much to my surprise, as I turned to leave I heard the most subtle of sounds. I figure it was just a clock or something but I decided to investigate anyway. Much to my surprise the little rat had climbed up a pile of clothes in this uninhabitied room and fallen into his old cage, which because my brother is lazy, still had the shavings that hamsters use as bedding. Luckily, we got to Big Balls before Butch did though because he was officially trapped as the sides of the old cage were impossible to climb because they were smooth and it had no lid. Butch could have easily had a tasty meal. It was such an amazing feeling to find the little guy and know that he was safe. Needless to say the hole in his roof is patched so that this incident will not happen again.
This is a completely ture story and no names were changed to protect identities...my family just names the animals extremely awkwardly :-)

so i went to the Strong Meuseum today... I just want to say that it is breathe taking and incredible. If you have never been there, GO! I was amazed by everything I saw and I am not an art person. It was beautiful. But heres something I found amausing. The most intriguing piece to me was a modern one made by a woman artist. She used blood, gold leaf, resien, and clay. It was absolutely stunning. Because I have to write a paper, I decided to use this piece and upon further research I discovered that it took the artist 4 years to complete. I thought that was a bit much but later on in the article, it revealed that the blood was not any sort of blood, it was menstural blood. At first I was a bit grossed out and then I realized that some people find these things to be a beautiful part of nature and although I would never in a million years save my menstrual blood to make a piece, I give this artist kudos because it turned out great.

on a final note I'm getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth out tomorrow and I'm scared to death...well not really but I heard I should be...oh well at least there knocking me out and giving me some good drugs :-)
