A series of unrelated thoughts...

Today, I figured, was a day for actual content instead of a cop-out post, since 2 in a row would just be poor form. Still, though, I lack any dominating thought that consumes me and demands being acknowledged, so instead, I offer you a series of unrelated and episodic thoughts, at least 1 of which will hopefully strike some kind of chord for someone.

Went to the chiropractor today and got another massage. It hurts pretty damn bad when they're doing it, and it's so completely worth it...I swear, magic hands, you just feel like you're melting. Tomorrow, though, I suspect I'm going to be sore beyond motion. I'm going to have to take my sister to the airport, which means getting in the car, which means wearing my seatbelt, and I don't think my pecs will be in the mood for that.

Speaking of taking my sister to the airport, I'm annoyed. It's not that great a task, but common courtesy would suggest that I be told about it somewhat in advance, especially since my sister leaves at 6 pm tomorrow, which means I have to drive on the 405 in the vicinity of LAX during rush hour. God help me. Yeah, you would think that, but no one ever got around to telling me I'd been named for the job till yesterday, though apparently, they've all had it in mind for 2 weeks. Gee. Thanks. It wouldn't even bother me if I was told about it. Not that I have real plans, but I could have. =P

Saw American Wedding and Bend it Like Beckham today. Two down, a million to go. Why must they cost so much? Today was movie-hopping, though, so 2 for the price of 1! Hazah to that. American Wedding was okay, probably between the 1st and 2nd in quality (below 1, above 2, of course...the first still rules all). Bend it Like Beckham was pretty fluffy stuff, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I love all things British, so I was just amused to sit there for nearly 2 hours and listen to them all talk. *sigh* You put 2 identical twins separated at birth in a room, 1 raised in America and 1 in England, and there's no question which I pick. And Pierside impressed me too! I haven't been to that theater in 2 years cause it was always SO horrible in EVERY way, but since we've all been away, the management revamped the whole place. It's all sexed up: brand new seats in every screening room, new screens with no tears or spots, new sound systems, new projectors that don't, like, catch fire in the middle of the show. Plus it's $8.25 for a night show instead of $9.50, so it's cheaper than normal, and it's completely empty because people still avoid it cause of how awful it used to be. And it's so close...I think it's back to Pierside after all this time for me.

It's so funny how completely the norm music piracy has become for me, so much so that being foiled in my attempts to do something that, technically, is illegal, frustrates me to no end. I became extremely indignant at my lack of success when I tried to download all of Jack Johnson's newer album, On and On. Every single track was bogus, either being a loop for like 8 lines from "The Horizon Has Been Defeated" or just a horrible high-pitched, ear-bleeding squeal. It's like I've come to consider stealing people's music my God-given right. Goddammitt it is! Still, I laugh at my own silliness with it.

I am covered in bug bites. Make the itching stop.

The other night, a couple days after the pirate party at Willie's, I got an IM message from Beau that basically said, "Hey, I understand that I got really drunk the other night and sort of embarassed myself, and though I can't remember and have no idea, I might have embarassed you too. If that's the case, I'm sorry." Man oh man, any party where people feel the need to apologize the following day for things they may or may not have done because they just can't remember is a GOOD FREAKING PARTY. Which it was.

That's most of it for me tonight. I have some more material, but I'll save it tomorrow in case that day is just as undistinguished as this one.
