Tomorrow we're off to Chicago for our friends' wedding. This is a Core event, so we're spending the night in a hotel not far from the reception venue where they will have an open bar. I think it is going to be a Catholic wedding, so this will be my first. I've only been to Protestant services, so this should be interesting. I've been up packing and getting things ready for morning. Tree's been having trouble sleeping. DST and being on spring break have messed up her routines. Hopefully we can start on a good note Monday when she returns to school. Only three more months and she will be a middle schooler! She started her horseback riding lessons last week and loves it. I told her that she has to do well in her classes and behave in school or we'll stop the lessons. I made sure she realizes that I'm sacrificing other things to pay for her lessons, which aren't cheap. We also went to the Hoosier Horse Fair & Expo. I was sick as sin that day and the first part of the week. I still have the cold, but it's getting better. Floating is going okay. I just finished my first long assignment (8 days). It was a pretty slow desk and the attorneys worked in labor and employment law, which is an area I worked in at my old job so that helped. The walk isn't bad, except for the morning it poured lizards and frogs and I got soaked to the bone. (Note to self: Buy a rain jacket and boots ASAP!) Walking and driving has been worse this week because a storm hit downtown last week and badly damaged one of our tallest buildings. The news says that it was just a straightline wind, but I think it had to be a tornado. The building looks as if a bomb went off inside it. I think I'm going to put my location as Chicago, just to see what it does. It must show where you are on a map or something. We'll see. I wish I could write more, but I'm finally starting to get sleepy. Good night.
Oh, here are two pics from Tree's first riding lesson! She's starting with Western style. The horse's name is Sketch.
