quick overview of what's been going on since last update. i swear.
last tuesday i had a rec swim class and a private lesson with ryan. then lap swim.
wednesday: rec swim class.
thursday: rec swim class and a private lesson with ryan but his mom forgot so i played at the hunter's point pool. i went to lap swim, but kristin asked me if i could help with swim team because the coaches weren't there and she didnt understand the sets she was supposed to give the kids. so i coached the team somewhat but we got out early anyway because of a storm. that night was katrina's late birthday party. kelli, katrina, audrey, and i went to el som for dinner then we rented supersize me (it's good.)
friday: leslie and erin came over to pick up my mom, me, and sean for the trip to tifton for the state meet. we picked up melanie and mrs. schmid at their house before setting out on our way. we tried to get to the pool at tifton in time to see marissa swim her final, but we missed it (found out she got a first and second!). our hotel was nice. we got dinner at an applebees within walking distance of our hotel. fun times that night.
saturday: breakfast at the hotel. then meet prelims. some of our parents volunteered to time at the meet so i had to take pictures for mrs. sutcliff. at the break we went to eat lunch at shoney's and then to the tifton mall (it's seriously a clone of the s'mall...scary. same stores and everything.) where i bought a shirt and skirt from maurices. back to the pool for finals: sean got 4th place in breast and just missed the finals in fly, melanie got 2 second places, and erin placed in both events (right?). anyway it was good that at least one person from each family there made the finals in at least one of their events. we left late that night to go back to statesboro and stopped for dinner at wendys on the way back. meals at applebees, shoneys, and wendys have become state meet traditions.
sunday: summer waves with ali. sean's birthday dinner at el som with ali, cake, etc. good stuff.
