i have many nice things, including my own room at a nice apartment
and a wonderful, beautiful girlfriend.
and great friends.
even though i'm stressed out and am hating school, i am blessed to have all these things in my life. i've rarely been happier.
i have a friend who is very unhappy and i am one of the few people in her life currently that is there for her to listen and talk. i wish i could do more but i can only do so much as one person. she heeds my words but only seems to need more the more i give her.
half my kids are failing my classes. many come from single parent homes. many if not most have failed and are retaking the classes. many girls are pregnant. the administration at jefferson high isnt the greatest. my guiding teachers arent the greatest. it's hard for me to be optimistic in this program.
i am growing white hairs for the first time in years. i'm so busy i can't workout anymore. i dont think i've been this unhealthy in a while.
when the weekend comes, however, when i get to talk to friends, when i laugh with them, play with them, make the best memories with them, i get what i need to keep going.
i am going through a definite high point in my life. it's never going to be easy. my life just has to have challenges. but that's what i'm accustomed to.
who knows, i may have none of this next year. i'll cherish every bit of it as much as i can.
i just hope i don't get too overwhelmed.
and that i have enough time to spend with all my lovely friends.
