Juliet's Journal #7
Hm, things are getting interesting in Miami. We're learning more about our nemesis and maybe we can turn them into allies and stop them from their rampage. But really, would Juliet and Rosie be able to work with Titans? Will these Titans be able to work with Pepito, because they are against the Amatsukami? Maybe we'll find out eventually.

Things have been going well. The building is officially mine. I signed the papers this morning and am getting with the builders soon. Our temporary offices are working well. Everyone seems happy. The Law Offices of Daniels, Brennan and Carr already have many clients. Brennan and Carr were the best from the DAs office. They were also the ones who always supported me, so of course it was natural for me to offer them partnerships first. They were great in getting everyone together and setting up the temp space. They understood about me taking time off. In fact, Brennan fussed at me several times when I would come in while I was supposed to be off. I have told them about myself, that I'm a Scion, and they're handling it all right. They think it's pretty funny that I wear a Star of David right beside my Norse rune. Two highly divergent religions together. But it means that when I call and say I'm going to be late getting back to the office, they understand. Of course, they saw me on TV, too, so that didn't hurt matters.
I was on the television because a giant spider, three stories high and with a body as big as a semi, was wreaking havoc downtown. It was on the TV in the lobby at the office. I turned it up just as the thing went by our building. It was heading towards the school down the road. I couldn't let it get away with hurting any of the children. Rosie called and I told her I'd go after it if she'd call the others. I told Sara, my secretary, that I was leaving, grabbed my axe and headed for the roof. It was several blocks away, so I took to the roofs, jumping from one to the other until I was slightly ahead of it. I gave a battle cry and leapt from the roof onto its back, axe blade first... and did nothing. Not even a scratch. It looked annoyed with me. It continued picking up little girls, sniffing them and putting them back down. The others had finally arrived. Sonny, riding on his cloud, had dropped Rosie on top of the thing next to me. I asked them if anyone could understand this thing. It was confusing. It wasn't hurting anyone, but the property damage was substantial. José had his boys help him wrap up the spider. It seemed irritated, but it responded when Andy spoke to it in Japanese. He, José, and Rosie began trying to communicate with it, to no avail. However, Andy realized that it was probably looking for Misa, because every girl it had picked up had a ponytail, including me, which it put me back on its back after sniffing me. That's about when I realized it wasn't wanting to harm anyone.
We decided to take it to the building site where we first encountered Deemo Industries. I took care of the police while Andy did his magic and distracted the media. On our way, I called the office to tell them I'd be a bit late. Sara mentioned seeing me on TV and that the others were taking care of things. I have a great staff and great friends. José also went off to get the doll Misa left behind after killing all the guys at the building site. When he showed it to the spider, it took the doll and began cradling it. Well, that settled it. It was looking for Misa. Rosie had called Tokichiro and he met us at the site. He couldn't speak to it, but his boss, who is a Kami, probably could. Now they had to take it to her house. Pepito had spoken to the Kami of the doll, which told him nothing, really, nothing to help find Misa. Sonny had effectively gotten the thing drunk. This was going to be interesting.
With help from Pepito's Young Lords, we were able to get the spider to Tokichiro's boss' house. After summoning the Kami, Tokichiro introduced us to her and asked if she could communicate with the spider. We found out that it is Misa's brother. He had escaped Terra, where he and his mother and siblings are being held. It seems Misa is trying to get her mother freed. Her mother is a Titan. Misa is currently down in the Keys on what is called "The Silken Way". Not sure what all of that is about. As we were inside discussing what was going on, this... biker rode by, though he wasn't really a biker. He was more like a Centaur, however his horse parts were motorcycle parts. Sonny hopped on his cloud and followed him back to a bar south of town. There were more like the motorcycle freak. There were also a few Harpies up on the rooftop. Not good. Sonny warned us when ten of them got together and headed out towards us.
Combined, Andy and José's brilliant plan worked perfectly. José thought we should clothesline them with rope. Andy suggested fishing line since is was clear and much harder to see. We set up our trap and José and I stood in the middle of the road waiting on them. I was leaning on my axe as he smoked his damned cigar. I really should talk to him about that. At least he doesn't smoke around children. At least I don't think he does. The "bikers", which I have equated to RC of the Transformers, just with human bits, came riding towards us and *BAM*. One was even decapitated. After a fierce battle where Eve and I struck simultaneously sever times, which worked out very well, we dispatched the offenders. It was decided that we really should "strike while the iron is hot", but not while there were "norms" around. So, we are going to strike later tonight. I suggested taking the spider to my warehouse. They can't work on it yet until all the permits are filed. Plus I can lock it up and keep it safe there. I asked Peptio to leave the doll so that he would feel better. I think he is starting to like us. I headed back to work, fielding all sorts of questions, to wait for when we are all going to meet. Amazing that all of this happened just in a manner of hours.
