boring bullet point update

Nov 15, 2005 00:16

- i have solo-ed an airplane. today in fact. a cessna skyhawk 172. uh huh? what up G?

- i really thought i had more than this.

- oh yeah, service selection is tomorrow afternoon. 3 1/2 years in the works. ill try to post a before and after tomorrow.

- ill be home for thanksgiving on wednesday night late. jessica is coming with me. if anyone is up for steak and shake, lemme know. ill probably be fammin on thursday but i want a healthy dose of firepit and or dudeplex the rest of the weekend.

- "sweater weather II, in search of the wooly jammoth" is now complete. ill take a short moment for you to either urinate liberally in anticipation, or catch your breath from laughing at the title of the greatest fall mix ever. get it? see, sweaters are made out of wool! and its like a jam, or "song" for mammoth, which means "big." hot diggity dog!

rules: there are rules: to get a copy, you need to give me a copy of your latest mix, be-it fall-related or otherwise. ok thats the only rule. and i probably wont follow it, but that would be cool if i did.

- does anybody like devandra behnhardt (sp?). i heard things, but im not impressed. but this could turn out to be like the time i said ben harper was a no-talent version of lenny kravitz.

- remember kids, life is epic, and it is a tragedy to convince people otherwise. i read that on a snapple cap. or i made it up and dont want to get made fun of.

- im just rambling now. and im tired. im a bicycle. im too tired. to go on. typing. that is from "owen" by the way. in so many words.

- oh yeah, one more thing, if you are thinking about seeing the squid and the whale, think again. i can sum it up in two words: awk ward. "lets make a movie and call it a 'film' and just try to make it as awkward as possible for the audience." thats actually a direct quote from the director. making it a director quote. maybe. it all made sense at the end when i realized wes anderson produced it, because it was like somebody was trying to be wes anderson and was doing a horrible job. ill admit there were some funny parts, and jeff daniels' acting rivaled his efforts in speed, but i would like to take back the seeing it in theaters credit that i gave it by seeing it in a theater. theatre? anyways. at least the soundtrack was decent. folksy. campfireish. there were a few funny scenes, too. i guess.

- im going to see Iron & Wine + Calexico in Philly after the army-navy game. BOOM-SHAKA-LAKA.

- more to come soon.

-casey.
