watch primer. it is a sci fi movie about some computer engineers. i
know, real exciting. but it is pretty good. i dont want to give
anything away or hype it too much, so i wont even say anything else
about it. if you want, the trailer is
here, and it does a pretty sufficient job leaving you in the dark, too.
also, check out starflyer's
myspace site.
it has a pretty good song, good sons, off of their new cd.
also discover america has a cool new song and mi capitan as well.
ive also been plugging away at mere christianity
for a while, and it has been very worthwhile reading. it answers
a lot of questions that i get asked that i always wished i could
answer.
check out
servant evangelism
. we talked about it for a while at a bsu conference i went to
over the weekend. its kinda based off of something bill hybels
did, if anyone is familiar. ive been thinking a lot lately
about whether or not there is such a thing as a truly unselfish act
other than jesus' examples, or people sacrificing their lives for
others. for example, it seems like the golden rule is pretty
selfish, if the only reason you are kind is because you would want
other people to be kind to you, or to someone you care
about. it always seems like there is always a motive for
good and kind behavior that can always be traced back to something
negative. i know this cant be true all the time, but it seems
like i can't find too many exceptions in my life, and its something i
wanted to try to figure out a little more. the passage most of
this is based on is Phillipians 2:1-8. if anyone wants to talk
more about it let me know.
ps: discover america unleashes their first cd to the world next tuesday.
