Greetings and salutations from the city of one million lights,
Since I have been here I have seen many remarkable things from Times Square to Broadway and everything in between. I unfortunately have only had the fortune of seeing one Broadway show in my time here but that show could be construed as the Grandaddy of them all The Phantom of the Opera.
When we got to the performance I was rather bummed to find out that we would be seeing the understudy for the Phantom at this show. Though the entire show itself was wonderful the Phantom himself he had a particular wayh of singing was a bit too rough for the music that he was singing as the music for the Phantom of the Opera was a very soft flowy musical he was very rough and that took away a little bit from some of the magic. Overall I thought that the play was wonderful and was worth the money that we spent on going to see it.
I spent most of today walking around Time Square and visiting my brother and I was dumbfounded to discover a Legally Blonde the Musical if there is anyeone who can explain to me where they get off making a musical like that please don't hesitate to show me. I walked around and went into the Hard Rock Cafe and got some cool shots in there and I mainly took pictures of the signs. I went to St. Patrick's Cathedral and Rockefeller Center which was one of the most beautiful places that I have seen in any city let alone New York. I got some cool souveniers and I don't really want to go back home because that means that I will have to get back to Bowling Green which is going to be a huge change from the fast paced life of New York.
I have several new movies for the viewing which is always a good time: The Prestige, The Departed, Dodgeball, and Hackers just to name a few. I have also been hot on the job market so I will hopefully be able to snag some cash money before I go back to school in August. In other unrelated news I miss my girlfriend yada yada yada. Cool news I'm gonna be heading down to Columbus next week to see the Goo Goo Dolls in concert so uber wootage there. Hope to hear from everyone soon and I do mean hear from everyone bother me let me know what's going on in your life give me a reason to not downsize my myspace again. I've gone from 320 to 99 friends in a little less than 2 weeks so please please let me know what's going on.
Your Buddy,
Mark
