Picking up the car today....I hope...
So, the car is repaired and I'm supposed to go pick it up this afternoon, but the idiot who fixed it is being a jackass about how I have to pay him. I mean I have the ability to pay him, even if it may not have been been in the way that is the absolute easiest way for him...but he insists that it has to be his way. I was unbelievably pissed yesterday afternoon when all this went down originally. I was about to hurl things, smash things, etc. I was out of patience entirely and had to have the hubby call the repair shop from his parents so that I wouldn't say anything on the phone to the guy that would cause any problems.
Although, I suppose one or both of us (Pat & I) should have found out all of the specifics of the payment options before now, it was a mistake. When all this happened the only thing I was really worried about was where we were going to get the money in the first place. And then once we had it, I was just so relieved that I didn't even think about HOW we needed to pay the guy, just that we COULD pay the guy.
But, hopefully we've gotten it worked out at this point and I will picking up the car this afternoon when I get off of work. Then I get to go home and bake pumpkin pies and get the rest of our food prepared for the big cooking that will be taking place tomorrow. I love Turkey Day dinner, just hate the whole cooking it myself part. But, I guess it could be worse, it's just Pat and I so it's not like I'm cooking for 20 or anything...that would suck.
Anyway, guess I'm done with my rant...have a good holiday.
