I have booked my tickets for the summer. Had I not procrastinated so long, I would have had it organized the way I wanted. But then hubby threw a curve ball, as he does, by telling me I had to go to Wimbledon with him. I know you're thinking "poor pookie has to go to Wimbledon", but honestly I can't think of anything I'd like to do less than watch a tennis match. But it's one of those corporate wife deals and since he got a little pissy with me when I tried to weasel out of it, I guess I'm going. I told him I'd change my plans for the Birtish grand Prix but he was not amused. So now I'm in Halifax for a few less days than I was expecting. I could have gone after Toronto but I wanted the girls to see/hear my Dad sing in the Nova Scotia Tattoo. He's been singing in it for like 20 years and no one in the family has gone to see it except me so I thought I'd be a nice kid and take the grandkids. It being Father's Day and all (hope your first one is cool
greyyguy)
I'm looking after one of the girls' classmates tonight and there's a whole lot of giggling going on upstairs...sleepovers on a school night are not generally a good idea. This will be the third sleepover in a row for Victoria so she should be a right piece of work by tomorrow :-/.
Pretty quiet weekend otherwise. Put my back into spasm by leaning over to hang up the phone (d'oh!)so I'm babying it with ice and heat and ibuprofen while I watch Tiger Woods double over in pain every time he hits the ball. Feel like a wimp in comparison! Hubby is huddled in the corner with Victoria's Nintendo DS playing Mario Brothers. Victoria wants me to buy him one for his birthday so she can have her machine back...poor lamb.
Whole lot of excitement in my house tonight!
That's all the news that's fit to print today. I'm just happy I've booked airline tickets and car rentals and concert tickets. Now I just have to show up!
