Monday musings

Mar 21, 2022 18:28

Monday weather forecast: 16C/61F sunny day. Yes indeed, although we had quite a thick frost on the ground this morning which was surprising. It has been a very lovely sunny day all day although it's noticeable when the sun goes down that the temperature drops immediately.

This morning was the penultimate lesson about John Atkinson Grimshaw and we moved on to his more well-known style of painting landscapes and cityscapes in the moonlight. One of my favourites was this view of the Thames ("Reflections on the Thames, Westminster, London")

After a quick lunch, I spent the rest of the afternoon in the glass studio sorting out some of the orders. I finished a hummingbird that someone wanted to give their mother on Mother's Day (this Sunday in the UK), and we walked down to the post office to send it after Mr Cee had finished work which was satisfying (I hate it when I have a deadline!). I also managed to cut out one of the next set of four things that make up the other order.  Short video of the hummingbird under the cut.

That's it for today, so I have today's question: 21. Should taxpayers have the option to explicitly say what they don’t want their tax money spent on?
Good grief no! Can you imagine what people would want to focus on! LOL! I think it's a much better idea to have a central department that decided where the money should go and (hopefully) has all the information to make appropriate decisions.

The rest of the questions are here.
