Boxing Day

We've had a lovely Christmas so far - the weather has been quite mild (around 11C/51F), so no snow on Christmas day (it's so rare here!). We ended up getting up fairly early but the boys didn't surface until mid morning. Poor Youngest Cee was sneezing and coughing and blowing his nose initially but got better through the day. He did a lateral flow

Glad you had a good Christmas. I like Boxing Day too. We are going out tomorrow but today is a laze around day :)

Poor Youngest Cee. It's easy to forget that colds are still out there. My Pilates teacher has had a terrible cold but despite loads of lateral flow tests and a PCR test it is just a cold

We did!

It's so difficult as he'd done an LF test before he came to us, and so we were sure he didn't have Covid, but you do start to worry. He's not had the booster yet as he always feels woozy after the jab, so he's going to get it when GF(P) is staying so she can go with him, but of course that made us wonder if he'd got it! I'm so glad we can self-test!

One day it would be good to pit S2C and Mr Cee against each other in a game of monopoly - they sound to have very similar tactics...

Glad to hear you had a nice Christmas. I am envious that the US doesn't celebrate Boxing Day. I've always thought it was a nice way to prolong the Christmas celebration.

It is nice - and as Christmas has been over a weekend we get Monday and Tuesday as public holidays too ;)

It sounds like a perfect day, Kaz. So glad to hear that Youngest Cee's sniffles and cough are just a cold. Smart to get tested! Times sure have changed, haven't they?

Thank goodness for home testing is all I can say. Winter sniffles are horrible but at least we can check if it’s just a cold these days!

It’s been a lovely few family filled days and Mr Cee has the whole week off work :)

So far, we haven't had any measurable snow in all of December--a first for northern Indiana. (We did have snow in November, though.)

Wow - that is unusual for your area! I wonder if you’ll get more snow in Jan/Feb. Our winters seem to be slipping into those months these days.

Ours too--I suspect the late winter here is going to be really horrible.
