Midweek musings

I missed a day - a very busy day! Tuesday started with Pilates and then I had loads to do when I got back as I needed to get bread dough started and did some other chores and I also had to practice the group bellydance so that was pretty much the rest of the afternoon. In the evening I headed down to the studio earlier than usual as my teacher had hired the hall early just so I could be part of the recorded group dance which was so nice of her. So I joined her and another classmate and we spent 30 minutes going through the dance a few times so that she could have enough footage to cut into the rest of the group who she is recording on Saturday evening.

After we'd done that we had our regular lesson which was full of drills of different moves which meant that when I look at my Fitbit record for the evening it was 84% cardio work. I was very hot when I got back!

Yesterday was warm - up to 22C/72F with loads of sunshine! Today was the same, although the forecast said sunny intervals with a cooler temperature it was wrong. It was a gloriously sunny day again!

Today Mr Cee took TIppi to the vet as she's being driven mad by harvest mites which make her itch. She wa supposed to get her booster shots, but instead she's had an anti-itch and antibiotic shot instead. Lady was supposed to go to get her booster too, but the little tinker stayed in the garden when it was time to go - I swear she knows we are taking her to the vet!

For me today was a work related day - I spent the morning sorting out various jobs for the bellydance mentor which was good. In the afternoon I took some time out to plant more bulbs - this time in pots - lots of daffodils and peony style tulips with some primulas and pansies planted over the top for colour now.  The daffodils should come up first followed by the tulips so I'm hoping the two pots will look cheerful in Spring.

We also did some grocery shopping, but the shelves were pretty bare for the things we wanted to buy! There is apparently a shortage for some things because we are running out of carbon dioxide in the UK which is used in some packaging to stop food spoiling. Some of the things I couldn't get were for Youngest Cee so he'll have to buy those and bring them with him.

Now we are relaxing and catching up with TV we had recorded over the last few days including the new series of Bake Off! \0/

I have questions:

21. Do you usually have to wear a belt with your pants?
Not usually - if I buy anything that's a bit big in the waist I alter them to fit. However these days I'm rarely out of leggings.

22. Have you ever donated blood? If not, why not?
I did right up until I had my children when I stopped because I had low iron levels and I was advised not to.  However I had every intention of going back to donate my A+ blood, but the whole process was always painful and long for me as I apparently have 'difficult' veins which are small and deep and so I take ages to donate a pint LOL!. Also - every time I donated I got a huge bruise in the crook of my elbow unless the nurse was incredibly skilled with dealing with that issue. So I've never gone back to doing it again.  Mr Cee is type O+ and donates all the time and I'm pleased he does - his type is 'universal donor' so he's often called to donate if there's a blood drive.
