Mid week musings

Monday evening we were sitting chatting to Youngest Cee who had come over to stay and I got a text from our Tai Chi teacher to say she was ready - "were we having difficulty connecting?" Oooops - we had totally forgotten that we still had one more Monday lesson before she stops the Monday classes! After much panic we managed to move all the furniture and connect up the laptop and as we were the only students she said it was fine we were 10 minutes late for the usual start time. We did 4 sets of moves which was EXHAUSTING! Consequently we slept very well ....

Tuesday was a busy day and once again it was rainy on and off (and cold for July).  I had Pilates in the morning which was good (lots of stretchy stuff). The afternoon was spend doing some prep for more bread baking and I made some sourdough pizza base dough which I'll freeze ready for the day we actually get some sunshine and can fire up the outdoor pizza oven.  In the evening I went to bellydance class which was tiring as we were swishing veils around. My Fitbit thought I had done 'sport' and 56% of the class was cardio work LOL!

Wednesday has been much quieter thank goodness. This morning I had my online course - Brave New World: The Art of the 1930s. Today we were looking at the influences on German and Russian art in the 1930s. It was, as usual very interesting and I was reintroduced to some of the German Expressionist artists I've covered on other courses.

In the afternoon I had the last online lecture of the 5 More London Houses - today we looked at the Sir John Soane Museum which houses a huge collection of things he accumulated over the years all left in situ as he wanted them to be. It looked at his decision to build in the Greek Revival style and we examined some of his other buildings in London as part of the afternoon. I've enjoyed taking a look at more iconic London buildings and architects and I have a very long list of places to visit.....

Now I've put together some dinner for us all as this is one of the few days Youngest Cee is visiting where we can all sit down and have dinner together (tomorrow is Pilates day, so we'll be out over dinner time).  In the meantime I have a couple of questions:

6. If I looked in your fridge right now, what would I find?
You would find the usual things I suppose - a drawer full of salad stuff and fresh veggies, a shelf full of cheeses and sandwich fillers, some flavoured yogurts, and there's some fresh pesto I made a couple of days ago. The door is full of condiments such as salad dressings, milk in glass bottles from the milkman, home made yogurt, my sourdough starter, butter and eggs. Mr Cee has a drawer full of beer and Pepsi Max at the bottom of the 'fridge and there is always at least one bottle of white wine in there somewhere :)

7. If you had to move to a new city, where would you move?
I'm not sure I'd want to live in a city. Most cities are rather noisy and the air quality is not that great. I like living between the city and the countryside.  If I had to I'd move back to Bergen in Norway as it's got all the good stuff of a city but a small population and wonderful crisp air. Also its near the sea which is lovely and not too far from the UK for visitors.
