This morning we went to Tai Chi in the park and it was a very big contrast to last week with all the rain. Last week it looked like this (people were in coats):
This week it was bright, bright sunshine - Mr Cee and I both caught the sun as we weren't ready for it! I got so hot and had to wear sunglasses as it was so bright!!! It was good fun though and there was a decent sized class, so I feel good for our teacher as I think she was worried no-one would turn up for a second week (she's in pink in the photo). It's quite good in the large park as lots of people come and ask her husband what is going on (he has the register and helps her set up staying in the background during class), and someone joined in as a result this week.
We got home in time for lunch by which time it was very hot so we sat in the garden and ate which was lovely. After lunch I tidied up the glass studio as it was a bit untidy while Mr Cee painted the garden table which he'd sanded down yesterday. It was hot in the studio (30C/86F) so I didn't stay out there too long and we've been relaxing for the rest of the afternoon catching up with some recorded TV.
Later we're firing up the pizza oven for dinner to make some fresh pizza and garlic flatbread. Can't wait - I'm really hungry! Tomorrow it's a bank holiday so we'll be out for lunch with Youngest Cee and GF(P)'s mother which we are looking forward to.
In the meantime I have a question for today: 30. What is something that never fails to make you feel accomplished?
Basically anything that shows results of some kind - like planting a new plant and finding it florishing in the garden over the years especially if I've got the new plant through taking a cutting. Our lovely white lilac tree is a result of taking about 20 cuttings and nurturing them until I finally got 2 little plants that have since grown into the lovely bush we have which flowers beautifully every year.
Numbers locally have plummeted again which is very good news and we're back to under 100 estimated cases having been twice that last week. People locally still seem to be being sensible, and keeping their distance and wearing masks which I'm very pleased about. We're still using the provided hand sanitiser in shops as we go in, and washing our hands when we come home.
Eldest Cee is due his first Covid vaccination later this evening and I'm hoping he will be OK. Youngest Cee had his first one a week and a half ago and he ended up feeling very faint at the vaccination centre and nearly passed out! They gave him hot sweet tea and sat him down for half an hour *g*. He felt exhausted by 9pm and ended up sleeping for most of the next day, but fortunately that was it for him as far as side effects were concerned and he was back working the following day. I hope Eldest Cee is OK as he lives much further away and I'll worry about him.....
