Friday ......

Pilates last night was challenging and I enjoyed it. It ran late, and I'm not sure whether to keep going with this evening class as the people are friendly so that's nice. I could change to the day time one, so I might see what that's like next week. Ack - I hate making decisions...... *ponders*

Last night there was much howling and yowling from the cats at 12.40am - Mr Cee got up to see what was going on, and apparently there were very fluffed up felines, but no clue what set them off! We did manage to get back to sleep OK.

Today I have had a nice sociable morning with a friend which was good. Lots of things to catch up with and it was warm enough that we sat outside on the deck in the morning sunshine.  This afternoon I lazed around as it's Friday (and I was tired after our broken night) and that's allowed - I actually gave myself a pedicure as that was long overdue so I now have summer toes for the forecast warmer weather. I may even break out my sandals!

There's thefridayfive to do!

1) What are you doing this spring that you weren't doing 1 year ago?
I'm going out! I've been to London and I've been out for a meal and I've got things PLANNED!!! Wooooot!!

2) What pandemic precautions are you still taking?
Masks! I rather like wearing a mask and I think I'll probably keep wearing one on public transport as people get in your face on buses and trains and it will be particularly nice in winter when people are sneezing and coughing..... I'm not so worried about space now that we've been fully vaccinated, but I do like keeping outside and being places with good ventilation just in case.
3) What's a safety rule that's very important to you?
Masks.... still required in shops and indoor areas at the moment. I like that people are wearing masks when they serve you food. I don't want people breathing on my food anyway, so it's much more sensible IMO.
4) What plants are blooming where you live?
Spring is a bit later here as we had snow and a very cold March and then a very dry April, so everything is a bit later than it normally would be, but there are still bluebells in my garden, and the hardy geraniums are just starting to bloom. I have also got alliums starting to come out and there are Canadian poppies with loads of buds on which are starting to open. The white lilac is in full bloom and smells amazing and the pink rhododendrons are almost fully out and look lovely.
5) What was your most memorable summer job?I only really had one summer job and that was working on the pharmacy counter in a chemist. It was dull and boring during the week and frantic at the weekends...

Aaaaand there's a question for today: 28. How long was your longest drive in a car? 490 miles driving from SE London/Kent to Stirling in Scotland. It was not fun. I hate motorways... and we had two small children with us...

Mr Cee ran late with work today as he had some late online meetings, so I watched the first three episodes of Alias which I've never actually watched 'properly' so it was fun to have something new (to me) to watch.

Now we've had a very nice curry dinner and we have TV to catch up with. It's a long weekend here in the UK, and apparently we are forecast some nice weather!

Happy Friday all!
