Sigh

I wish that as soon as the covid-19 was declared a Pandemic everyone in the world stopped all forms of travelling everywhere (unless you really have to). All this uncertainty about whether we can travel out of the UK or whether we should attend large events is making it very difficult to know what to do for the best!

I am trying to persuade Mr Cee to work at home for the next couple of weeks because he has to travel on the mainline trains and the underground trains in London to get to and from work. At the moment there are over 100 people in the capital who have been tested positive (2 local to us here in the suburbs), I'm not worried about catching it, but I do worry that he won't help if he's contageous and travelling all over the place....I think we all need to take responsibility for not spreading the virus further. We have a holiday booked in May via the Eurostar train. We haven't had to pay for the accommodation yet (we have up to a week before to do that) but we've paid for the train already so I suppose if we decide not to go we will just have to take that monetary loss (the insurance we have doesn't cover pandemics or communicable diseases).

In other news people have been panic-buying cat food here..... *sigh*. I can still find some but I don't understand this siege mentality. Toilet rolls are still in short supply in the supermarkets (Why!??? How many times to these people use the toilet each day!!??) although I've been buying online for over a year now, so I have a plentiful supply - Mr Cee did suggest we eBay some for a bit of extra income LOL! Pasta seems to be disappearing - do people really think it's only made in Italy?

Yesterday I went for my MRI. It was quite a pleasant experience as I didn't have to be inside the machine (which I'm not sure I would have liked very much), and I got to wear noise cancelling headphones with my choice of music playing. The imaging took about 20 minutes to complete  and I was just starting to get bored by then. I felt sorry for the girl who went in after me as I overheard them telling her that she had to be in there for an hour! I'm not sure I could have kept stilll for an hour - it was bad enough keeping my leg still for 20 minutes - as soon as they said I must not move I really wanted to! I will get the results next Wednesday, so hopefully I'll have some answers.

It's sunny and showery today so I've been pootling around the garden filling up bird feeders (we have lots of goldfinches visiting at the moment), and generally tidying up plants and doing a bit of weeding.  Later I'm off to bellydance class which my knee still doesn't like very much. It took a day or two to recover last week, as we had the class then a rehearsal for the show on Saturday straight after so I was dancing for about 2 hours. This week it should just be the regular class, so hopefully that will be OK.

The 365 questions:

11 What’s your first and middle name(s), if you’re comfortable saying? Do you think the meanings of your names matches who you are?
I answered about my first name last time. My middle name is very boring - Mary - which is Hebrew meaning 'bitter'. I don't think I'm bitter and I don't really like my middle name much. I didn't even use my middle initial in my signature before I got married but my married name is short, so I use both first and middle name initials now.
12 What’s your birth order in your family? Do you think it affected who you are as an adult?
I'm the oldest of 2 by 22 months. I don't know as I don't know anything different! I imagine as the older one I was given more responsibility quicker than my younger brother as I do remember often having to babysit him (which I hated).
