I am getting very confused about what day it is as we've had the Bank Holiday on Monday and today Mr Cee took the day off as he had one day left from last year's leave to use up. He's gone over to Youngest Cee's flat this afternoon to wait in for the surveyor for the people buying his flat. I'm hoping they will turn up this time, although it's now 3.30pm and the surveyor is supposed to be there between 1pm and 4pm..... ETA: Mr Cee waited until just before 4pm and then had to come home as the surveyor didn't turn up again and he can't park around where Youngest Cee lives for over 3 hours. YC is NOT happy that his Dad has wasted his time again.
This morning we pottered around the garden and he cut the grass while I waged war on the horsetail weeds that keep popping up. I am never going to win, but over the two years we have been here there is significantly less than there was which is pleasing. It's also very satisfying to snap their little shoots off - I've been warned not to try and dig them up as their roots go down at least a meter and if you break a bit off it will regrow as a new plant - not for nothing has the plant been around since the dinosaurs.....*sigh*
I saw a friend yesterday and we spent a happy afternoon catching up with life - she works in a pre-school which is busy, but soon it will be the long summer break so we have planned to meet up and go on a couple of outings.
I'm thinking I must find something to learn soon. I'm happy enough making glass, but the class is too far away to go back to once it starts up in September and most of the other craft classes are right over the other side of the borough from where I live. I will have to do some research, but I'm not finding much in my area at the moment. Anyone got any ideas?
So - onto the 365 meme catch up:
28 Would you prefer to eat nothing but chocolate or be able to read people's minds?
This is a conundrum!! I do love chocolate, but I don't eat it very often these days, and I'd rather have it only occasionally as I'd get sick of it I think. However, reading minds could be a minefield! I suppose I'd plump for being able to read people's minds, but only when I want to, not all the time. That way I'd have some control.
29 When you were a child what did you fantasise about doing when you grew up?I really had NO idea. I have had several careers so I've never really known what I wanted to do and each time I've changed direction it's been more luck than anything else. I knew when I was little I wanted to own my own horse, but that never happened although I did used to love horse riding.
30 If I told you that one person you know is secretly an alien who do you think it is? Why?
31 If you could click your fingers and be anywhere in the world right now where would you go? Yes you can get home again with another click.
