Friday five-ing...

Mar 15, 2019 18:29

It's Friday so there is time for thefridayfive - questions provided by spikesgirl58 in reference to St Patrick's Day on Sunday:

1. Have you ever made corned beef and cabbage?
Not that I remember. I'm not a huge fan of corned beef - we usually get it in tins and I don't like finding bits of vein in it. I do love any kind of cabbage and will happily eat a plate of it :)

2. Will you be tipping back a decent pint of Guinness this weekend?
Probably not Guinness, but I am meeting some former colleagues for our occasional walks around the local woods on Sunday, so I expect we will stop off at the little micro-brewery in the nearby town and have some of their rather delicious stout. I actually prefer Mackeson Stout to Guinness but the stout they brew in the micro-brewery is delicious!

3. Do you own an Irish wool sweater?
Nope - is that a thing?

4. Have you ever ‘met’ the Tart with a cart (i.e. have you been to Dublin)?
No - I've never been in the Eire or Northern Ireland, and I'd love to go there one day.

5. Do you know what tractors, submarines and ejector seat all have in common?
I do! Harry Ferguson invented them all :)

It's been a good couple of days. Yesterday evening I went to the two hour bellydance class and we did loads of work with arms, and I thought I'd be dead today. I'm not! Then I went to Pilates and my teacher (who is the same one I have for bellydance) asked if my arms were OK after last night and then proceeded to do the whole 4 minute set of exercises again! Ack!  I met some of my former stained glass class-mates this afternoon for lunch and a catch up, and so I've sat around all afternoon and my shoulders are complaining a little bit. Hopefully I shall be OK tomorrow.

Mr Cee had the day off and took the Smart car for it's service which is around 10 miles away. Fortunately he can get the tram back to our house, so I didn't need to drive over with him to give him a lift back. The car is back now and is clean both inside and out (Mercedes own Smart, so the service is rather good) and Mr Cee had a nice day off on his own so he made dinner! Yay! So we have roasted pepper pasta bake for dinner with salad and garlic bread. As I only had a cheese scone for lunch my tum is rumbling....!
Happy Friday folks! :)
