I got a group photo from our bellydance skirt workshop on Saturday - it's cute! I'm the one in the red top (4th front the right). My teacher is 6th from the right, and the Israli professional performer - Tamar Bar Gil - who ran the workshop is 10th from the right in the pink top.
Yesterday evening I went with my teacher and a couple of dancers from my class to the professional show in North West London where Tamar was headlining the show. The costumes were gorgeous, and the dancing was fabulous. It was great to see the amazing dancers - I've put a couple of performances by Tamar under the cut for those interested. The first dance she is doing is very like the ones she did in the show and the second (very short) one shows how she uses a circular skirt in a dance (like she was teaching us).

Unfortunately on a Sunday the trains were running slowly because they don't run fast trains on that day and also the wind meant the trains were keeping to a slower speed limit in case of items on the line (apparently the worst offenders are kids trampolines which blow over fences on the tracks!). We got to the venue in plenty of time and enjoyed the show, but as usual with dance shows it overran by half and hour, so what with one thing and another we didn't get home until midnight!
I'm tired after two fairly busy days and so today I have stayed in and so far - I've made spinach and cheese bread to have later with baked cauliflower cheese for dinner; I've prepared some clementines to make marmelade tomorrow (the peel has to steep overnight); I've got my sourdough starter ready to make some bread later so it can prove overnight in the 'fridge for baking loaves tomorrow morning. I've also cleaned all the things which was satisfying. This afternoon I'm chilling in front of the TV because I've run out of energy! *g*
