As I posted about the 12th yesterday, I completely forgot about the 8 days of happy post for yesterday!

Yesterday's happy thing was getting all the laundry done, the house tidied and enjoying reading my current book.  It's a re-read of Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch.  I really enjoyed this the first time I read it, but I've read all the books ( Read more... )

That's impressive! I'm so jealous; I've always wanted to make a stained glass window (or, failing that, buy one, LOL).

I am chuffed I managed to cut an arc - it's actually quite terrifying! Fun so far.

It really is. The tutor used to make and repair stained glass windows and she has some wonderful examples of her work. I'll try and get a photo of her wall hanging dragon which is marvellous.

How very cool...! I've never tried glass cutting, mainly because I am a bit of a klutz with things that can cut me if I don't pay attention. I'm ok with a scalpel but that's about it.

Looking forward to seeing the finished project!

I was unreasonably terrified of being cut but the tutor explained mostly people cut themselves because they are not paying attention! So I shall make sure I'm paying attention!!

I shall post photos as I go along :)

I am *so* impressed that you managed to cut that semicircle.

I was gobsmacked that the circle worked! The logic of the technique to do it is hard to get your head round - I had to write it down!
