hi

I have no idea the last time I posted anything so I'm just going to do the full rundown from current to less current.

I'm currently sitting in a hotel-ish room (timeshare condo) in Las Vegas, soaking in some rest before checking out the 24/7 life here. I'm here cuz I can be, and because Joe was coming for the NAB 2008 convention and I thought that sounded like a good excuse to tag along.

I'm currently fostering dog(s) for Underdog Rescue. My current foster dog is Louie but they told me that I might have a different foster dog when I get back from vegas (he's staying with a different foster family while I'm here) before Louie I had his brother Lambaeu but he got adopted one week after we had him. It's a pretty cool/fun thing because these dogs get to stay in a home and get to live a semi-normal life instead of sitting in a cage at animal control or worse, dead from euthenasia. Underdog covers any vet and food bills and anything I buy (toys, treats etc) is tax deductible so it's not a complete loss and it really helps socialize Raven. She is a much calmer dog now and has less of a separation anxiety issue because she has a friend while Joe and I are at work.

I've had Raven for... 7 or 8 months now, i just got her offically registered for the city of St. Paul and she just got all her vaccinations for the year, what a responsible pet owner I am. She is doing really well and is getting more and more obedient overtime, she waits at the backdoor for permission to go outside and she sits and waits to be served dinner and waits for permission to get on the bed... stuff like that. back in the day she was just a ball of energy that went anywhere she pleased and was constantly jumping on tables, chairs people stuff liek that She is going to grow up to be an awesome dog (she's almost 2 or so now)

My house is shaping up to be just that, my house. I'm really excited for summer to come so I can do all the details that will make the house shine and be truely mine. I already bought a pond to put in next to the patio (it's currently a bunch of dirt because it's shady and not landscaped well so it's always soggy) and I have plans to put a butterfly/hummingbird garden under the bay window on the front of the house and get rid of the drab white plants (they simply blend into my white house) PLus just general cleaning up of the half-assed paint jobs the previous homeowners did to sell the house.

Joe and I are still doing well and are still very happy together. No secret marrages planned on this vegas trip, I promise.

Notes on other peoples lives:
Bernard and Julie are getting married this summer in vegas, on the same day as my old roommate Kat and Nick are getting married, popular day.

My sister and her husband have a bid in on a nice townhome in the same neighborhood where they currently live, they're pretty excited and Ihope it works out well for them!
