Drudgery
Lately I've been reading a lot of fantasy and sci-fi and, ok, I know that this is the very definition of escapist literature but do you ever wish you could just step the hell out of this world sometimes, and into another one? Just to see what it's like in a different reality. Sure, reading from the protagonist's POV spoils the reader, we all want to be the hero/ine and who the heck wants to be in the part of the kitchen drudge? I know it's silly, but some days regular life can be so regular it's hard to deal with.
