Shouldnt have had that mocha

So its been a while since anybody on my meager friends list posted anything. And It's been a while since I posted as well.
If anybody doesn't know, I got myself laid off from Frank Lumber on 3-2-09. So I've been sitting at home wondering what to do with myself ever since. I've been getting unemployment checks, which cover all my bills, but eventually they'll run out. So I've been applying to places via the Interweb... And it's not really working. Everything I apply for wants 5-10 years experiance, and a degree of some sort. It seems that there are so many people out looking for jobs, that employers have the pick of the litter, and can ask for outrageous things like a college degree in floor-sweeping. I've got all the wxperiance, but none of the degrees. Damn paper.
As a side note, I'm beginning to wish that it was law that prospective employers responded, either positively or negatively, to every resume or aplication. It's beginning to get frustrating. I've sent out an assload (Technical term) of resumes and applications, all digital, and haven't heard a peep from anyone or anything. It's very motivating.
So I spent a while working on my website, as a way to feel usefull, but it's still not up, so... there's that.
Resurected my oil painting skills, such as they are, but one man can only paint so much when it's basically just wasting time. (And it's a good skill to have, if you're interested in wasting time.)
The engine in the truck is officially dead, so, there goes that hobby. At least untill I have a renewable income.
So what have I been doing all this time... That's a good question. Mostly, playing Supreme Comander, and pacing. 575 square feet of living space gets small when you don't have a job to go to every day. But Every time I've left the house this past week, my stomach has gone to crap. That worries me, because if I can't even leave the house, what am I going to do when I get a new job? IF I can find one? Oy.
Suppose I should put a pause on the rambling, huh.
Oh, Geri pointed out something interesting: When someone asks "what's new?", we can now respond "Getting married!" So that gives us about a year of answers to that question that people always seem to ask. Then after we get married, we have a year of being able to say "Got married!" So, at least there's one less thing to have to think about.
