fastest writing I have ever done...

*wipes brow* phew. That was intense.

As diligent readers of my lj may have noticed (ha ha) I got tagged for silverbullets on Sunday! It really was great timing, as I had Sunday and Monday off, and no major project that needed to be worked on for school right this moment. I still, of course, ran overtime, because that's just how I roll. Or something. I plotted out the fic and got a good headstart on the Sunday, and was going to finish it up on the Monday, aiming for just over 1000 words, but it just got longer, and longer... finally, at over 2200 I was done! I coded it super quickly and posted to my lj, but then my internet stopped working!! WORST TIMING EVER, as I still had to post it to the comm! So I ran to the coffee shop that's a few blocks away from my house (I was going there anyway) hoping their internet was working, and it was, and I posted to the comm there. So intense!

The internet in my house didn't start working again until last night, so I'm still catching up. I haven't even posted to any comms yet, but I got recced by crack_impala ! YAY!!! my first rec! This makes me happy.

In other news! There's... not much. I live in Canada. Hockey is happening. I walked into a bar last night right as the Canucks scored their winning goal and I thought my head was going to split in two, the screaming was so loud! My facebook feed is pretty much 50/50 split between people being enthusiastic about hockey, and people complaining about the people who are enthusiastic about hockey. It's kind of amusing.

Yesterday I bussed to a friend's house who's moving to pick up a lamp that she was getting rid of. I also ended up getting a pair of boots (score!). On the way back I walked by a coffee shop that I sometimes go to, and wondered if I should sit down and use the opportunity to check my e-mail and more on my iPod, since I wasn't sure whether the internet at home had started up again or not. Then I noticed that the mug of tea in my bag that was almost done had decided to empty itself completely, all over my stuff, so I quickly emptied my bag. Nothing was ruined, but my stuff was soaked, and there was too much for me to carry home, so I ended up setting up camp at the coffee shop. Uh, literally.

I hung my bag inside out on a chair so it was in the sunlight, put my boots on the ground next to me, the lamp on the table, spread out some papers on the table held down with my phone and a mug of coffee, and then checked my e-mail on my iPod and ate a muffin. I got quite a few interesting looks!

also, YAY SPN renewed for season 7 !!! I must admit I'm curious where they'll take the story line... and also, I really really hope season 7 will be the last. I'd much rather they quit while they're ahead, but I guess it remains to be seen what S7 will be like.

Now it's time for real work, though, not fandom work. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week!

silverbullets, writing, real life: good for you, spn
