I'll kiss your hand; you won't see the smirk beneath my lowered eyes

Junior year is fine. My classes are fun and interesting and there are more cool people at West than I first realized. However, I feel a bit disconnected from myself; I suppose being busy can do that, but it's still somewhat disappointing. I am becoming less aware of how I act, and my ego is growing exponentially, especially ever since I grew out this face-hair (I even started making icons of myself... gah).

A few things I'm excited about:

1. Jazz band trip to Chicago in February.
2. Maybe going to Mexico on the Interact trip? I don't know if that will work out or not, but, it would be amazing.
3. This summer - camp or no camp, it's goin' be funky.
4. Senior year. I'm overflowing with ideas on how to take advantage of possible freedoms (student teach [at least, however much that is possible when I'm still a high-schooler], write a jazz band tune, tutor... whatever)
5. After high school: College will be sweet, but even sweeter is the idea of taking a year off between high school and college to go do important things in the world while I'm still young and full of energy (and parental monetary support...).

So how are all of you? I feel like this LiveJournal crowd is full of people that I don't really talk to that often in person. Leave me a story about what you ate for breakfast this morning (it's a start).

EDIT: That last bit really wasn't meant to be a pun. Sorry.
