So here you were a few days past
Hair so fine and eyes so wide
Touching plastic keyboards left behind.

Knowing you so much
So much that a person can read
From a shimmering screen

Swearing you are understood
Swearing you are really known
Alas only a few days you were human

Fingers aching with desire
Eyes blurred by pixelated words
Smiley faces and sweet sentiments

For you are hardly seen
Softly tap the love wire

Don't show your foibles

Pounding harder on the keys
Begging you not to be real again
No one wants to fall
Only a few days you were actually flesh
