Vol. 131 「ARASHI and Muffler」
In a winter morning, these two are off to the laundry.
They wear winter outfit as today seems to be cold as well.
“I would love to see warm-looking pictures since we are in the mid-winter edition”, said Aiba who proposed the theme of “Muffler”. Ninomiya and Matsumoto show us two patterns of coordination called “On and Off” taking place in a nice-viewing rooftop and a stylish laundry. Despite the cold weather, we could feel their warmth and create gorgeous pictures. But how do these two really feel about it (laughs)?
We just started the tour, these days and that’s also when we prepare for the winter.
松本 : Today’s photoshoot appeared to focus on the feels of “being covered”. But I wasn’t really aware of it (laughs).
二宮 : Same way here (laughs). Now that you mention it. Just like today, we’re often asked to wrap it around the neck and covering our mouths whenever they hand us muffler. It doesn’t really suit our personal taste but I guess it must be the popular pose (laughs).
松本 : And we don’t really pay attention to girls’ way to wear it as we’re fine with the way we wear it ourselves.
二宮 : Definitely.
松本 : But I quite like it as a fashion item. I’ve got some of it. The other day, I went to a shop to get one for a friend’s birthday present. As I found a cute one, I ended up buying it for myself as well.
二宮 : Hmm.. For me, I will just wear any thing I can find at home.
松本 : It has become sort of my routine lately to prepare winter clothes and accessories as the tour begins. I feel the urge to prepare warm clothing since we keep starting our tour from Sapporo for several years. On the opposite, it’s always thin clothing before that. At home, I’ll just wear T-shirts and shorts even until the end of November.
二宮 : Like those who live in southern countries (laughs). Since, it was warm during November, right.
松本 : Nino, what do you wear at home?
二宮 : (Pointing at his own clothes) It’s like this.
松本 : What? So, you mean you came here right after you woke up?
二宮 : Not like that. Of course, I change clothes but it’s not so different with the one I wear at home (grins). Mainly, it’s just T-shirts and sweat pants and I’ll add parka when it gets cold. And I’ll stay that way even during the coldest weather.
松本 : My preparation for winter is to humidify the room and put together the thick clothing. When I go outside, I’ll layer my clothes, put on coat, and take muffler or scarf with me. Nino, you still put on sandals even during winter, don’t you? (laughs).
二宮 : In my case, there are many days when I only go back and forth between my house and the site. So, I’m fine only by wearing sandals. But of course, I put on proper shoes whenever I go out to eat or have arrangement with seniors (laughs). And I get my outfit done with a down jacket over a T-shirt and parka.
松本 : And I think leader also shares that same image.
二宮 : Definitely. Wearing down jacket or leather jacket on top of normal clothes (laughs).
松本 : Fur jacket Sho often wears and muffler Aiba wraps around his neck give me fluffy feel of winter.
二宮 : That’s probably how we think of it. I might not feel that cold during winter since I spend most of the time at home. But I think I love summer better than winter.
松本 : Every year, I can never stand both the cold and the heat (laughs). And I need to take precautions against cold and have a healthy winter.
