On Reading and Writing
Today was a really cool day!
Got together with Tanith and did writing sprints. I am so glad to be writing again.
Drove home, started laundry and went our for a bike ride, the first of the year!! Rode to lake Nokomis, part way around, then back.
On the way back, I got that feeling that I really wanted to return to the book I was reading, you know, the feeling that you are so caught up in the characters lives and you just have to read what happens next. Only, I realized after a moment of feeing the need to get home and read, that the story I couldn't wait to get back to was not the one I was reading, it was the one I was WRITING!!!
That feels REALLY GREAT!
Except, of course, it will take lots longer to get through the story than if I was reading it. But, I hope if I am that caught in the story, that my readers will be too!
So, this evening, I am going to volunteer usher for a friend of mine, who has written this play called "Do you want to know a secret?".
