As many of you know, I've been expanding my sewing skills to include *gasp* Pattens!
This has led me down the path to making my own corset. A good corset (meaning one that supports you, is comfortable to dance in, allows you to breathe while presenting you in a mildly idealize light) can easily run $300-$500. I figured I was up for the challenge. I also decided that after making one to learn on, I would consider splurging on the 1 yard of shiney outer fabric and get some really nice silk or something. Anyway, behind the cut is the general progression of the project culminating in a final photo of me in the corset. You also may notice that I have finally gone through with the donation to Locks for Love. *grin* 12 inches to a good cause....still getting used to the cloud of curls around my head!
Photo Progress: Front of assembled pieces, Flat Felled Seams on back side, Inside with Boning Sleeves, Completed interior shot, Completed open front, Finally 2 torso shots.
