The season's change was a conduit...

I love winter, I really do. People think it's gloomy but it's so beautiful. The cold is so sharp, it always seems to highlight everything. I love scarves and gloves and winter jackets. And curling up by the fire with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate with so much whip cream that you have to get it on your nose when you drink.

And winter means winter break, and more importantly Christmastime. It's not even Christmas itself that I love that much, it's the season itself. I actually get a little sad on Christmas morning because it means that soon all the lights come down, the Christmas music stops playing, and downtown Seattle just isn't as beautiful without the lights everywhere.

All this got me thinking though. All of this winter goodness isn't half as beautiful if you don't have someone to truly share it with. Someone to curl up with by the fire with your hot chocolate, someone to hold hands with and walk through Seattle looking at all the lights. Winter is beautiful but I miss summer, and I miss you.
