Ok, this is random and a little mean, but I love that DMC canonically states that on Will and Elizabeth's wedding day, Jack is nowhere near them, much less secretly attending due to personal invitation. Just a little "Booyah!" to all the fans who think that Jack actually likes the whelps and vice versa. Jack is wary of Elizabeth and bored by Will.

I wasn't even going to say "Nuh-UH" but then you said it and I had to!
Jack is so off-beat that I don't think he even realizes that he has a moral code.
I like that.
OK, I can buy that Jack likes Elizabeth despite himself-- there's all the compass evidence in DMC (::growl::) and he's always pretty proud of her piracy, even when it's harmful to him. He's still pissed about the whole death thing, though, and I think he's gotten over her. "Once was enough."
Will being the little brother, though... that works on a lot of levels ("Stay here, and try not to do anything... stupid") but it implies a stronger sense of admiration and affection that I don't think it there. Usually the younger brother admires the older, and Will doesn't admire Jack at all. He thinks Jack's way of acting is useful sometimes ("Think like Jack!") but that's about it. Maybe the lack of admiration is covered by "spoiled little brother who doesn't listen to you." I'm not so sure about Jack feeling responsible for Will, though. Do you have some evidence for that?
