I actually do feel sorry for Pike, mostly because of Issues but also because he, alas, is not going to spank Winona.

He should have known that being a cold fish simply isn't feasible while in bed with a Kirk. ^^

I'm curious about this, actually. Of course it sucks for the person with unrequited love, but other person can't really do anything about it, either. IDK. The way I write Pike most times, he gives Jim more than he's obligated to, and sometimes more than he's really comfortable with, but it's never enough. They just have different appetites and capacities for love and I'm not sure why that's Pike's fault.
