1) I have discovered that since upgrading my RAM, VLC will play directly from the DVD without skipping! Used to be I had to watch DVDs with PowerDVD, and if I wanted to take caps I had to rip it to an ISO with DVDShrink and trick my computer into thinking the ISO was an actual DVD with Daemon Tools, or rip it to a VOB and watch it that way. badtwfic? Admittedly you wouldn't be yelling at the authors directly but it would be a good place to vent, perhaps. :)

And lol, I agree, yes. Even the mpreg fics that everyone claims are "SO MUCH DIFFERENT FROM ALL THE OTHERS, REALLY, THIS ONE IS SO LULZY AND MATURE!" are still just not good. I love Jack and Ianto's relationship to smithereens but I think their undercurrent of messed-up-ness needs to be there in order for the rest of it to work, really.

It's just a community where people post snippets of horrible Torchwood fic and mock the daisies out of it. You have to be a member to see the entries, though.

I hope it's okay for me to say all this because this could very well be one of those "the first rule of badtwfic is that you don't talk about badtwfic" things, but as far as I know it should be fine. Anyway, you should join. The more mockers, the merrier.

I'm really, really tempted. Membership is moderated, so it wouldn't need to be all Fight Club, necessarily, just... under the radar. Do you want me to screen this thread just in case?
