How sad, that the best treatment of a romantic relationship on House-- subtle, complex, messy and real-- is not a romantic relationship at all. I've noticed that most writers are better when they're forced to rely on subtext.
Also, I love Robert Sean Leonard's face. His FAAAAAAAAAACE. With his little eyes!
