“When the truth came out and our memories were all restored, Tara moved out of the house. We were broken, we were over… I felt like my world had shattered. Until I came here, Tara was the only truly bright moment in my life.”
“And now? Kaylee asked with a slightly hopeful tone in her voice.
“And now… if you accept most of what you hear about me and still want to be with me, you would be the brightest moment.”
She looked at Kaylee and was rewarded with a bright smile. It eased the tension that she felt when she spoke about her mistakes. There was still more to tell Kaylee, but so far she hadn’t run screaming and that was a good sign.
