dear kevin,

Listen to my heart,
if the words stand far from perfect,
I’ll make them so,
until the beating stops,
till my heart explodes.

I’m growing.
And ever day,
I find a piece,
a piece of my life,
a piece that makes me, me.

You’ve been some of the biggest pieces along the way,
I’ve found you near and far,
scattered just about everywhere,
from the places I go,
to the ones in my dreams.

I need someone to be there,
to make breathtaking memories,
or ones of laughter.
Someone to see everyday,
that reminds me of ‘those days’.

From the day you held out your arms,
just to say you’d catch me,
though I never fell,
I’ve been waiting here with open arms,
willing to do the same for you.

You know you always have my heart,
but do I have yours?
You say ‘forever and always.’
“Can you promise that, honestly?”
Then came your word.

Since we exchanged hearts,
my hopes are nowhere near,
I just believe,
one day you’ll take it,
take the next step.

I’ve poured out what’s in my heart for so long,
you should know it in yours,
and if you doubt uncertainly,
I know it’s ingraved,
I know you do indefinitely.

I said these words should stand by perfect?
Ha.. there’s never corresponding with perfect,
but hoping they will be in your eyes.
so look into mine,
then what I am saying you can finally grasp,
to hold in your thoughts.

Throughout your life,
you can take me with,
where ever you go.
So screw the words,
take in my soul.

so next time i see kevin i'll be giving him this poem.
but i will only be giving him a torn piece of paper containing only half of the poem.
i will be telling him that he'll get the rest when we're together..

(the part that at the begining that he's getting is bolded...
the part about holding out his arms actually litterally happened but i turned it into a metaphor.. obviously. =]
i'm sure he's gunna love that.)
