(no subject)
i think this is the first time in the history of the world, that i dont want a hurricane to come. its screwing with the system.
im currently stuck in gainesville at my grandma's. i could be at academy learning to deploy 24 ft, 35 ft, and 40 ft ground ladders and touring the campus with them over my head. but no, everybody is freaking out over this hurricane. i was happy in my own little world with a tv that only has two (statically challenged) channels.
things are going great at the academy. i get my ass kicked every morning at 600 am, then fill myself full of scrambled eggs till 900, sit in a class room for an hour or two then head out to the engine bay to get my ass kicked some more. then at 1200 i eat till 1300 and go get my ass chewed up till 1700. i love it. gotta love it.
but class was cut short yesterday and is canceled today. we are on standby until this hurricane passes. at least i can look forward to getting called back to help assess damage around the ocala area and chainsaw some trees. till then im itching for something to do. wish i was home to help out the family. because of this stupid hurricane im not going to see them for another month(?).
