After the hype at the PS3's release, there's still drama. Now a guy was shot after beating and stealing two consoles from another.

It's all the console's fault! It promotes violence and... satanism. And it eats bunnies.

I didn't hear of muggings or shootings or the like regarding the Wii's release. In fact, the weekend passed quietly for me, and I totally forgot that the Nintendo console was now on sale.
