Today I had one of those moments as I read someone else's entry where I say to myself, “That reminds me of an old entry.” It wasn’t one of mine, however, and I ended up going back over my friendslist. Thankfully I knew who it was who’d written what I was looking for, but not when they wrote it. Dozens of entries later -- past stories of happiness, love, heartbreak, and anger -- I found it, way back in December of 2002. What the entry was or who wrote it is irrelevant, though, because that search then led me to skim a couple other journals of old friends, reliving those moments and nodding my head or chuckling at their contents and my comments.
How many other people do that, go back and read their own journal and those of friends, past and present? Speaking of past, maybe I ought to look up a few people who vanished long ago and see what they're up to and if they've changed.
