Reasons Why Christmas Was Awesome:

1. Woke up and saw my Yuletide author wrote me ridiculously awesome Codex/Fawkes fic.

2. Cinnamon rolls for breakfast!

3. Opened presents with the parents. Got lots of awesome stuff (Black Books on DVD, books by John Green, movies, video games, tea set, squeezy Adipose stress ball thingy, etc).

4. Delicious Christmas dinner.

5. Watched the Doctor Who Christmas Special legally, on Christmas, on my TV. Thank you, BBC America! (And LOL the trailer for next season. America = cowboys. Stetsons are cool. Brb, dying.)

So, yeah. That was fun. =3

Also, I finished the book I was reading and have officially embarked on The Great Harry Potter Reread. My copy of Sorceror’s Stone is in such bad shape. The book sleeve is ripped, pages randomly have corners torn off, and a whole chunk has come loose from the binding. It’s hard to read, because I’m so worried it’ll fall apart in my hands. Eleven-year-old me was definitely not as OCD about book condition as twenty-year-old me is. BUT I’m having so much fun rereading! I haven’t touched these books since I was little. I keep getting all nostalgic and sentimental. My childhood~

As for the rest of my break, I am volunteering at an animal shelter to get some of my required work hours, so I’m spending a few hours every weekday morning playing with kitties and cleaning up their rooms. And I’m going over to my friends’ house soon for a couple of days to ring in the new year.

And unrelated to anything: WHY are they remaking Being Human for the Sci Fi channel? There is a perfectly serviceable version already in existence. It’s in English and everything.
