ack! flashforward is good! tv's back, baby!
so, because i was listening to the rent soundtrack and i lost track of time, i missed out on the first five minutes aka lloyd's confession and the shooting. but from what i saw, it was straight up awesome. so i'll be checking that out asap.
i did see simon confronting lloyd after the whole debacle, and that was intensely cool. i really love their dynamic (and not in a slash sense, i'm trying to take off those goggles). simon's line about it becoming an all out war between them was greatly delivered. oh dom, an emmy should be in the cards for you!
and now we move on to the bitching, because MARK IS A FUCKING ASSHOLE. he is the new locke. in other words, he is a character that i hate beyond belief and i wish he would die (which is okay to say because he isn't real). i mean, first he threatens some innocent guy by saying he'll plant fake evidence saying he's a terrorist. WHAT THE FUCK? does he have any morals at all? is he THAT ruthless that he'd take down some innocent guy who might just be protecting a friend??
then we arrive at demitri's murder, which i totally called the first time i saw this episode's preview. "your murderer is sitting at this table"? uhh... MARK. and it actually follows, because MARK IS AN ASSHOLE. so much so that i am officially shipping lloyd/olivia now (more on that later). and it will happen. oh yes. whether or not demitri actually does something that warrants that much anger doesn't honestly matter, because mark is just that damn terrible of a person.
but wait! mark's not done yet! oh no, now he's going to practically kidnap this woman and throw all professionalism (a word? seems wrong) out the window. yeah, i'm pretty sure that's not allowed, and an fbi guy should know that and have his priorities straight. in fact, how the HELL did mark even get into the fbi in the first place?? he's an alcoholic, he's got anger issues, trust issues, basic social issues, and possible brain damage. he shouldn't even be flipping burgers at mcdonald's.
and someone then does something that is actually smart. mark gets fired. 'bout time! also, props to demitri for accepting mark and not letting his future murder get in the way of their friendship. he actually apologizes to mark. him. to mark. and of course, i don't understand why anyone would be mark's friend in the first place, but it just shows how loyal demitri is.
so, the last scene... which i also called. i was like, "five minutes left? foreshadowing about lloyd being worried about his son? creepy paramedics? recipie for disaster." as mentioned previously, i am definitely warming to olivia/lloyd, if only to get rid of mark. but that scene was epic, and exciting, and it reminded me of back in the day when lost gave me goosebumps. it was a great feeling, so this show is definitely improving.
then the preview definitely rocked... i'm excited about young doctor/babysitter action. i like them together (forget that asian chick!) and i was definitely seeing a little something there in previous episodes. also everything looks exciting and awesome, and simon is always nice. btw, holy crap with the plot twist involving his technology. that's kind of surprising. very time travel. (very lost.)
this is the first time that flashforward has really, truly delivered, despite all of the MARK FUCKING PISSING ME OFF. and that's bound to happen in every episode until he hopefully dies. this show is officially promising, and i love it.
